The last time KKR met RCB on the field was on 18th April 2021 2020 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in IPL 2021 which was won by RCB by 38 runs. An explosive inning from AB de Villiers scoring unbeaten 76 from just 34 deliveries help propel RC to 204 for a loss of 4 wickets. Glenn Maxwell, underperformer of IPL 2020, showed his class and scored 78 in 49 balls to help RCB in that match.  

For KKR, the best inning came from the bat of Shubman Gill who scored 21 runs from just 9 balls but was soon sent back to the dressing room by Kyle Jamieson in the 2nd over of the match.

It never looked dicey or a difficult match for RCB who had the players from KKR under pressure right from the start, taking wickets at regular intervals. Though Siraj could not take a wicket in the match, he showed his importance with his bowling figures giving just 17 runs in 3 overs.

In the 27 matches played against each other, KKR has gone home victorious 14 times while RCB has won 13 times making them a very competitive side.
