Reports claim that rather than eating with his Manchester United teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo is eating lunch alone.

The Athletic reports that Erik ten Hag, the team's manager, and the 37-year-old forward have been arguing the team's high-pressing approach.

The 37-year-old reportedly wants to quit the team he returned to last summer because he wants to play in the Champions League.

For United last season, Ronaldo scored 24 goals across all competitions, 14 more than the next.

Following the embarrassing defeat against Brenford, manager Ten Hag had the players train instead of taking their usual day off. Ronaldo attended and participated in the training.

Before the season began, there were worries that the seasoned attacker would have a problem to fit into Ten Hag's system.

The former Ajax manager expects his team to play with tremendous intensity, tactical cohesion, and pressing from the front.

The latest rumors surrounding the Portuguese superstar undoubtedly did not help the Dutch tactician's team as they were torn apart over the weekend.

According to the Athletic article, Ten Hag is now more amenable to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner leaving the team this summer, although they have still not received any offers.
