Real Madrid legends break down in tears as Marcelo bids farewell.

Since joining Real in 2007, Marcelo has made 546 appearances for the club, and exits as the most decorated player in the club's 120-year history..

"I prefer to live in the moment and don't think much about the future." But leaving the club where you've spent your entire life is extremely difficult," Marcelo said at a press conference.

Marcelo admitted that he is still indecisive about his future, but ruled out retiring or returning to his native Brazil, indicating that he wants to stay in Europe and play for a team that will compete in the Champions League next season.

His departure comes after the club won their fifth Champions League title as team captain, and his 25th trophy overall, in Paris last month, when they defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the final.

The 34-year-old has spent 15 years at the Santiago Bernabeu and won 25 trophies at Real Madrid, including five Champions League, six La Liga and two Copa del Rey titles.

Marcelo's teammates, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, Carlo Ancelotti, and Raul, who is presently in charge of the club's B squad, were among those who attended the farewell ceremony at Valdebebas.

Here’s what Perez had to say about Marcelo: "Dear Marcelo, you have accomplished all the dreams. You have won absolutely everything. You are without doubt one of the best full-backs in the history of world football, a unique player."
